Nicole Bucholz is the Co-Captain of the Volleyball team. This season she was given Northeast-10 Player of the Week honors on August 27, after averaging 6.25 kills, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 digs in four matches at the Nova Southeastern Classic. Bucholz currently leads the Ravens in kills with 2.47 per game.

Why did you choose to attend Franklin Pierce?
I was recruited here my senior year of high school to play volleyball.
What's your major?
Mass Communications with a focus in Print Journalism.
What's your favorite thing about Franklin Pierce?
I love the sense of community, and the small campus. Everyone knows everyone else. You're friends with all the other athletes if you're an athlete.
What's your most memorable Franklin Pierce athletic moment?
Watching the men's and women's soccer teams on ESPN.
Favorite athlete ever?
Mia Hamm.
Favorite volleyball player?
Kerri Walsh.
What are some of your team expectations for this season? Our goal is to make it to the Regional Tournament.
What do you plan to do after college (as far as athletics and/or career)?
I really want to coach and write freelance for papers wherever I am coaching.
Who do you look for athletic inspiration?
My brother and I have always been very competitive athletically. I guess I just followed him.
If you didn't play golf here what sport would you be playing? I'd probably try out for the soccer team but I doubt I'd make it.
